INDIE TO UNCOVER: BRICKWOOD

Sometimes I find myself with time to kill between clients and there are occasions where it's not worth heading home in between.
On these kind of days the hunt for a cosy cafe is on!
My first visit to Brickwood was in Tooting Market last year, this time around it was the Clapham branch and it was exactly what I was looking for.
I found a cosy nook and whiled away 2 whole hours with coffee, a big fat sourdough toastie and a new stash of magazines from my kit bag.
Taking inspo from the cafe scenes of Australia and New Zealand the focus is very much on quality coffee and brunch, the former made to their very own market blend from the people at Caravan Coffee Roasters in Kings Cross.
I love the relaxed vibe and they play really good music, my shazam app got a good workout that day.

SKINCARE SAVIOURS : CAUDALIE VINE ACTIVE SERUM & OIL

I recently received a sample pack of the new Vine Active range from Caudalie and loved these 2 products so much so that I purchased them right away.

The glow activating anti-wrinkle serum which I have been using daily as part of  my morning regime is packed with anti oxidants to help fight everyday pollution and stress, has a gorgeous milky, fluid texture and hydrates skin perfectly with a feeling of freshness and comfort.

The overnight detox oil has a dry oil texture so feels light on the skin, with a gentle herbal fragrance, it promotes cellular renewal and toxin elimination while you sleep.

Both of these products have made a noticeable difference to my skin in just a short space of time, they totally get my vote.

SITE TO KNOW: WORK WORK WORK

Work Work Work, is a digital destination for women to share their challenges and triumphs both in and out of the workplace.
Katherine Ormerod (ex Grazia and Glamour fashion editor) started the site as an anti-perfectionism platform to explore the truths behind the fantasy of social media.
With a 28k strong following on Instagram she's not immune from the thrill of posting a pretty picture to the clickety click of a few hundred fans hitting the like button but she is very intent on keeping things real with a 3 step Work Work Work motto. . .

1. No ones life is perfect
2. Nothing worth having comes for free
3. What you see isn't always what you get

Her writing about self is honest and frank, tackling topics such as divorcing before turning 30, earnings and ageing in a head on, no beating about the bush kind of way, it's refreshing and honest and draws you in.
Her case studies on women in fashion shine new light on the seemingly perfect lives of ladies in the social media spotlight and how behind the apparent glitz and glamour all is not always as it seems.

Relatable and empowering.

Oh, and she has great hair!
